Welcome to Portreath Arms

From July 4th we were able to welcome you back to the Arms. It has been a long three months for most of us, whether you have been safely tucked up at home or bravely facing the world to keep life moving forward. We know that for many of you, the return to normality is being craved and we understand, but things are going to have to be a little different for a while longer.
This is why we wanted to let you know how we are re-opening in stages and it is a far from ideal situation, but this is how we as a family business believe that we can keep both staff and customers safe.
We opened with only our outside areas; beer garden, deck, marquee and part of the car park reserved for seating. It is table service only and we respectfully ask that tables remain where they are placed and there is a maximum of six customers per table.

Customers have access to our toilet facilities and you will be asked to enter and exit the pub following the one-way system.

From the 23rd July we started serving food. The restaurant has reduced capacity and reservations are recommended. Please note that the there is a maximum time of two hours for a table reservation. Food is also now being served in the bar and outside areas but this seating is un-reserved and is all table service. Please do not approach the bar.

Please pay with contactless/card/ApplePay/Google Pay where possible.

There will be plenty of signs and information when you do come to visit us, all that we ask is that everyone sticks to our ‘house rules’ and we can all have an enjoyable pint and food in safety.

The Portreath Arms is a family owned and run Bar, Restaurant and 7 bedroom accommodation located in the centre of the village just a short walk away from Portreath’s harbour and beach.

Situated on Cornwall’s North Coast, Portreath lies at the eastern edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and within the UNESCO Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. Portreath meaning ‘sandy cove’ has a gently sloping sandy beach which has a full life guard service during the summer months.

The village is popular both with tourists and walkers on a journey along South West Coastal Path. There is also a popular cycle route from Portreath to Devoran on the south coast.

Totally superb!

Wow! What a fabulous place! Stayed for one night whilst walking the coastal path. Given a lovely welcome on arrival, and shown to our beautiful room with bath and Bluetooth mirror – perfect after walking the hills! Covid wise they’ve got it cracked – we felt safe and cared for. Our evening meal and breakfast was delicious with friendly service. We will be looking to return. Thank you team :)

Fantastic

This is the second time that my partner and I have stayed at the Portreath Arms, and yet again they did not disappoint. We stayed for two nights and had booked the King En suite room with was decorated to a high standard, with all the little things you would expect from a quality guest accommodation. Breakfast time was held in the dining room with a good selection of quality breakfast’s. As there are very few restaurants within Portreath we opted to Try the evening menu (ADVANCED BOOKING ADVISED).
Yet again the food was cooked to perfection. We found all of the staff Very helpful and friendly and nothing seemed to much trouble.. Would we go back again? Most definitely.
